FAQ

How do weapons work?

Your weapons will attack a random enemy within their range whenever their internal timer comes off cooldown. Weapons with range under 1000 (Coal, Fire, Plasma, Poison, and Light) can attack buildings. Weapons with a range greater than 1000 (Iron, Ice, and Wind) cannot.

How do I upgrade my weapons?

The ultimate form of each weapon tree is made by combining a double of each tier and the recipe. For example, to create a Disintegrator, the ultimate plasma weapon, you purchase two Plasma I cannons, which become a Double Plasma I, two Plasma II weapons, which become a Double Plasma II, two Plasma III weapons, which become a Double Plasma III, and the Disintegratorrecipe.

Do weapon effects stack?

Coal is the only weapon that has a chance to proc its stun effect regardless of whether or not the target is currently effected by the debuff. Poison, on the other hand, does not stack. Each unit can only be effected by one instance of the Poison debuff.

Do utility items stack?

The only utility item that stacks in any way is Repair Wood. Each Repair Wood has an independent cooldown. Sails, Hulls, and Repair Crews do not stack. Your ship will only use the item of each type that has been in your inventory the longest.

If I buy a new boat do I keep my current level?

Yes. When you purchase a new boat, you will have the exact same amount of experience points as you had in your previous boat.

Why is the other team getting so much more empire gold than mine?

Empire gold is based on the difference in net worth between the two teams. The team with lower net worth (not counting the extra income generated from killing towers, and a few other fringe cases) will receive more empire gold, however this will never make up the difference in net worth between the teams.

I've just revived and I can't move! What's wrong?

After respawning you will spend a short duration stunned, immobilized, silenced, invisible, and with your weapons disabled. This purgatory is a workaround to deal with how DOTA 2 handles death timers.

I'm stuck and I can't move! What do I do?

Press the Unstick button above the Zoom UI and beneath the clock to be moved to a position you were previously in that you could move from.
